Children 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 who were ages 1 and 2 were observed. 11 infants, young toddlers, and preschoolers were observed in the classroom downstairs on the right with staff person 6 and 7. The required ratio should have been 1 adult to 4 children. Children 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19. 20, and 21 were observed who were infants, ones, and a preschooler. Requirement: When children are grouped in mixed age levels, the age of the youngest child in the group determines the staff:child ratio and maximum group size in accordance with the requirements in § 3270.51 (relating to similar age level). IF USING TIERED LIS: The required staff:child ratios must be maintained at all times.The legal entity must submit documentation in a format approved by DHS proving that the facility is maintaining the required staff:child ratios at all times. The legal entity will confirm continuing compliance by sending copies of the documentation to the -------- Region Office on a weekly basis for a period of three months after DHS approves the documentation format.
