14. Outdoor Time, Fencing and Play Area Requirements FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6 (14-01)
Outdoor play areas in the home were not free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6, A Comments: Licensing Specialist observed that the some of the fences were broken leaving some openings and exposing some nails, the nails were sticking out of the wood. TA was provided: Licensing Specialist discussed requirements with the owners, panels must be fixed, the nails must be covered, nailed down and the opening should not measure more than three and a half inches. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6 Outdoor Time, Fencing and Play Area Requirements A. Outdoor Play areas shall be clean, in good repair and free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards. Compliance Comments During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the pool was clean and clear, and that the provider had appropriate pool barriers in place to prevent the children from gaining access to the pool.
