(Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Staffing Requirements [SR] Comments: Provider did not update background screening by due date of initial screening. Providers background screening expired 12/21/25 and need to submit to a new screening. Provider is working hard to complete this requirement ASAP. 4.2 Re-Screening family childcare handbook page 19 A screening conducted under this rule is valid for five years, at which time a re-screen must be conducted in the same manner as the initial screening. A. The five-year re-screen is required for the operator, household members, substitutes, and volunteers. B. The five-year re-screen must include, at a minimum, a criminal records check (both national and statewide), a sexual predator and sexual offender registry search, and child abuse and neglect history of any state in which an individual resided during the preceding 5 years. 07.
