5.1(A), Handbook: A screening must be conducted as a condition of employment. Level 2 screening as outlined in s. 435.04, F.S., is required for all child care personnel and includes a criminal records check (both national and statewide), a sexual predator and sexual offender registry search, and child abuse and neglect history of any state in which an individual resided during the preceding 5 years. Documentation of Level 2 Clearinghouse screening clearance was missing for child care personnel. Comments: One (1) staff (MM) was observed working in an infant classroom without the required level 2 background screening. The staff was hired since Sept 2025 and did not have eligibility through the DCF Clearinghouse. A Notice of Violation is being issued.
