Sec. 7-37(b), Ordinance: The outdoor play space and any area adjacent to any outdoor play space that a child may have access to shall be free and safe from any reasonably foreseeable condition that has the potential of endangering or does endanger the health, safety, and welfare of children, including, but not limited to, the presence of hazardous materials and high-tension wires. Comments: The following areas need to be repair: -The playground ground cover (turf) was observed with open gaps and cracks in different sections. - The red bouncer was observed rusted and deteriorated in some areas. 22. 3.1(A) and (G), Handbook: All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation.Cleaning must not take place while rooms are occupied by children except for general clean-up activities that are part of the daily routine.This does not include cleaning with hazardous materials or any cleaning which poses a risk of slipping or falling.Areas of the facility were found to not be clean, sanitary or well maintained Facility/Storage [SR] Comments: The following areas were found in need of repair and maintanence: -The sink faucet in the 3's classroom was observed loose. - The bathtub needs to be cleaned. - One of the toilet tank lids was observed missing - A four-seat playground bouncer was observed with rusted parts and peeling paint. 3.9.2(B), Handbook: Stored food must be consumed or discarded on or before the expiration dates listed by the manufacturer.Expired food was observed. Food Service/Nutrition [SR] Comments: An expired gallon of milk was observed in the refrigerator. The milk expiration date was 10/12/2024. This was resolved at the time of the inspection.
