The facilitys outdoor play space was not enclosed with fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, F (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the Twos playground had a fence that measured 3 feet 10 inches in height. A photo was taken at time of inspection. The provider has been given until 10/16/2025 to bring this standard back into compliance. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, F The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. The facility did not have documentation of a fire extinguisher being properly maintained to include being serviced and retagged timely, and/or with a current certificate. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, B (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the licensing specialist observed the last fire drill was conducted on 09/03/2025, and the annual fire inspection was conducted on 09/03/2025. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist. The fire drill occurred during nap time. There was a total of 8 adults, 45 children at the time of the fire drill. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the facility had fire extinguishers that were last tagged on September 2024. The provider has been given until 11/06/2025 to bring this standard back into compliance. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, B Fire extinguishers with a minimum rating of 2A:10BC must be properly installed, serviced and maintained with current inspection tags at all times. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided the cook with an extra hair net. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistant, Handbook, Section 3.9.1, B Child care personnel, while working in the food preparation area, must wear proper head covering, such as a hair net or hat. Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training requirement. CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 10 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 10 of the 10 employee records. Counselor reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2023/2024 fiscal year. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. 33-01: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel did not test out of the DCF 40 hours of the introductory training within 12 months of starting the DCF 40 hours of introductory training. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination.
