The hot water temperature in the Preschool room classroom and bathroom sinks, the Older Toddler bathroom sink and the Infant / Young Toddler Room sink measured ~120 degrees. Requirement: Hot water temperature, in areas accessible to children, may not exceed 110° F. Correction: The water temperature was adjusted back down into a safe range and the temperature was then subsequently tested at the sinks. Inspection: Renewal. Observed in the preschool room chipping paint on 2 windowsills and cracked blinds with sharp edges in 2 windows. Requirement: Floors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces, including the facility's outdoor play space surfaces shall be kept clean, in good repair and free from visible hazards. Peeled or damaged paint or damaged plaster is not permitted on indoor or outdoor surfaces in the child care facility. In the Preschool Room observed the plastic lid on a container of coloring pages to be cracked and sharp. Based on staff interviews, there was a period of time where the temperature downstairs was below 65 degrees F which is too cold in the space to care for children.
