An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an area where the baseboard meets the door frame in the VPK room where the baseboard has broken off and there is peeling paint surrounding it. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months." 13. Medication was not stored in either a locked area or inaccessible and out of a childs reach. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, G (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an open basket storing diaper creams on the bottom shelf of the diaper changing table. The shelf is open and does not have a lock or door, making the diaper creams accessible. During the time of the inspection, this was resolved by the Operator moving the basket to a high shelf out of reach of the children in care. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: G. All medication must have child resistant caps, if applicable, and must either be stored in a locked area or must be out of any childs reach. If medication is stored in the food preparation area, it must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or medication." RECORD KEEPING 40.
