    A family day care home may provide care for a maximum of: 4 children from birth to 12 months of age. 3 children from birth to 12 months of age, and other children, for a maximum total of six children. 6 preschool children if all are older than 12 months of age. 10 children if no more than 5 are preschool age and, of those 5, no more than 2 are under 12 months of age. There were [8 vpk] children observed in care and their ages were [4 and 5 years old]. 402.302(8), F.S., FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 2.2.1 Comments: Licensing observed 8 VPK children, 2 children left thus it was completed at the time of the inspection. The operator mentioned starting tomorrow she will split the group into 2 sessions thus the capacity is not exceeded.
