General Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection visit the Licensing Specialist (LS) observed that the 1 and 2 year olds class was out of ratio. LS explained to the director and staff member that in groups of mixed age ranges, where children one year of age but under two years of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than six children of any age group, at all times. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During this inspection visit, a fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist. There were 25 adults and 89 children present including elementary school children. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 1/31/2025 and it is currently expired. The last fire inspection for this facility was dated 1/20/2026 however there are violations that need to be corrected. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 12/2026. Licensing Specialist (LS) Provided Technical Assistance (TA) to the director responsible explaining that the annual fire inspection is valid for 1 year from the time of completion and must not expire. An updated fire inspection must be completed by the due date for the facility to be back in compliance. The facility will be placed on a provisional license for 30 days, this date will be retroactive to the date the fire inspection was expired. A Fire Watch Plan must be completed and provided to licensing. After 30 days licensing will complete a review, to determine further action. FOOD AND NUTRITION 24. Bottles and sippy cups brought from home shall be individually labeled with the childs first and last name and shall be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian daily. LS provided TA to the director and staff responsible reminding them that an accurate alcohol thermometer designed to measure cold storage temperature must be placed inside each refrigeration and freezer unit. Thermometers in refrigerators must show a reading of 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and thermometers in freezers must show a reading of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
