Preparation of food occurred in an area that is not a designated food preparation area. CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.1 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: LS observed that bottles were being prepared in the classroom (not a food preparation area). LS gave TA to the director explaining that a food preparation area is required for facilities that choose to prepare food in a manner consistent with the definition of preparation of food. The director explained that they will be preparing bottles in the kitchen, placing this standard back in compliance. Compliance Comments The school is located inside a Lee County school district school; meals will be provided by the school district. The public-school kitchen is inspected by the Department of Health. Due: Completed at time of inspection Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2026-06-23. Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: During the inspection visit the Licensing Specialist observed that the refrigerators in the classrooms were missing a thermometer. Ta was giving to the director reminding her that an accurate alcohol thermometer designed to measure cold storage temperature must be placed inside each refrigeration and freezer unit. Thermometers in refrigerators must show a reading of 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and thermometers in freezers must show a reading of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. The thermometer must be located in the center of the unit and be readily accessible. Due: 3/26/2026 Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2026-02-26.
