A medication, [NOT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER AND EXPIRED PRESCRIPTION], brought to the center for administration, was not in its original container. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, C (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: A child noted on the supplemental has a medication without the original container and has an expired precription. . Licensing provided technical assistance explaining Prescription and non-prescription medication brought to the school-age childcare program by the custodial parent or legal guardian must be in the original container. Prescription medication must have a label stating the name and contact information of the physician and/or pharmacy, childs name, name of the medication, and medication directions. All prescription and non- prescription medication must be dispensed according to written directions on the prescription label or printed manufacturers label and maintained at the appropriate temperature.
