3.6.1(A) and (C-E), Handbook: Each child in care must be provided safe and sanitary bedding to be used when napping or sleeping. Sleep bedding includes beds, cribs, or mattresses. Nap bedding includes sleep bedding, cots, playpens, play yards or floor mats. Air and foam mattresses are prohibited. Floor mats must be at least one-inch thick and covered with an impermeable surface. Bedding must be appropriate for the child's size. Appropriate bedding is not available for all children. Indoor/Outdoor Space [SR] Comments: During the course of a complaint inspection related to quiet time, the following non-compliance was found:The VPK children are allowed quiet time after they come in from playing in the playground. During quiet time, the children are allowed to sit/lay down on the carpet in front of the TV from 12:30PM to 2:30PM. Per the teacher, the children are allowed to lay with their blankets on the carpet. Some of the children fall asleep watching tv and some dont. TA was provided that appropriate bedding must be available for the children and 18 inches of separation must be met for children laying on beddings. 20. 4.1, Handbook: Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must successfully complete the departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. 2.5.4(A), Handbook: All vehicles regularly used to transport children must be inspected annually by a mechanic to ensure that they are in proper working order. Documentation by the mechanic must be maintained in the vehicle. Provider did not obtain inspection by a qualified, certified mechanic and retain documentation in the vehicle. Transportation [SR] Comments: The vehicles with vin# ending in 0064 and 9168 were inspected during today's inspection. The annual inspection for vehicle vin # 0064 was conducted on 12/15/2024. The vehicle vin # 9168 did not have a valid inspection. Proof of inspection was not provided for this vehicle. The director stated that the vehicle is scheduled for service, and that this vehicle won't be used until the inspection is completed. The Vehicles insurance policy is valid until 8/7/2025.
