The facility did not have electrical outlet covers or the outlet covers were not in place. The facility did not have 35 square feet of usable floor space per child for the number of children observed in care. The facility had a capacity of [6] based on 35 square feet and [9] children were observed in care. CCF Handbook , Section 3.4.2, D Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Upon arrival the 1's classroom had 9 children observed eating lunch. After lunch, 3 children and one teacher were moved back to the 1's/2's classroom. Each room routinely used as a classroom must provide the minimum 35 square footage of usable indoor floor space per child. 24. Food Preparation Area CCF Handbook, Section 3.9 (24-13)

Child care personnel working in the food preparation area did not wear proper head covering. CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.1, B Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: Staff was not wearing a proper head covering while preparing lunch. Staff put on a hat. Child care personnel, while working in the food preparation area, must wear proper head covering, such as a hair net or hat. To prevent contact with readyto- eat foods, child care personnel must use clean disposable gloves, utensils, or similar items in the food preparation area. 33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 (33-03)

The facility did not have documentation to show child care personnel had begun the introductory training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 Comments: Staff listed on the Supplemental did not initiate the DCF 40 hours within 90 days of industry start. Staff initiated prior to inspection being uploaded. Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination.
