A prescription or non-prescription medication, specifically [a clip on the child that contained menthol for congestion], was dispensed without written authorization from the custodial parent or legal guardian. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, A and K Comments: In the infant classroom an infant had a clip attached to his/herself by the parent at drop off that the teacher stated contained menthol to help the child with congestion. There was no medication form signed by the parent. The clip was removed from the child by the teacher. Technical assistance was provided at time of inspection on non-prescription medication being dispensed without written authorization from the custodial parent or legal guardian.
