CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed in the Panda A room the toilet paper holder in the left bathroom was broken, leaving the metal plate exposed. In Cats A the outlet plate is cracked at the bottom and the corner has broken off. The toilet paper holder in the right bathroom was broken, leaving the metal plates exposed. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. 13. During the time of the inspection, this was resolved by the Operator moving all diaper creams to a high shelf where children do not have access. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:B. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:All child care personnel who work in a facility that offers care to infants must have training regarding guidance on safe sleep practices, preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; recognition of signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; strategies for coping with crying, fussing, or distraught child and the development and vulnerabilities of the brain in infancy in early childhood within 30 days of hire at the facility. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook:The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A -1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C- 22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department.
