CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the giraffe room there is a hole in the wall that is by the 2nd bathroom. In the pangolins room the paint by the exit door is peeling. In the crocodile the middle toilet does not flush. The director was given until January 3, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. 13.    The facility did not have documented proof that all child care personnel were trained and knowledgeable within 30 days of date of hire in [ safe sleep practices and shaken baby syndrome]. CCF Handbook, Section 4.2.3 and 4.2.5 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Training [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there 28 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 28 of the 28 employee records. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the Licensing Specialist observed two personnel that did not have their Safe Sleep training within 30 days of hire. The director was given until January 3, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.3 Safe Sleep/ Shaken Baby Syndrome Training All child care personnel who work in a facility that offers care to infants must have training regarding guidance on safe sleep practices, preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; recognition of signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; strategies for coping with crying, fussing, or distraught child and the development and vulnerabilities of the brain in infancy in early childhood within 30 days of hire at the facility. For child care personnel to satisfy this requirement the training must be accomplished through one of following methods: Department's Health Safety and Nutrition course, Safe Sleep course, or the Early Learning Floridas Safe Sleep Practices. The director was given until January 3, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, School Readiness Program Health and Safety Standards Handbook Section 3.1 Preservice. Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days.    Child care personnel inappropriately interacted with children in care in a manner that was aggressive, demeaning or intimidating in nature. CCF Handbook, Section 8.2, C Enforcement [SR] Comments: During the complaint inspection, teacher 1 informed the Licensing Specialist that she when separated child 1 and child 2, she accidently scratched child 1 on the neck. The scratch is approximately half an inch long. This standard has been brought back into compliance in that the child is no longer enrolled at the facility. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 8.2, C: Child Safety C: Childcare personnel must appropriately interact with children to foster a healthy, safe environment that will encourage the childs physical, intellectual, motor, and social development.
