CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on toddler playground, the step to the playhouse was broken and sharp. The wooden beams that go around the exterior of the playground, one was missing, exposing the metal spike. The broken rocker toy was broken on the seat and exposing sharp pieces. The On the playground in the back, the large plastic climber was broken, and the pieces of plastic were sharp. On the large playground, the wooden structure had a piece of wood missing and the metal stake was exposed. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. 13. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. The last fire inspection the Licensing Specialist observed being completed was on 6/7/24. The Director advised the Licensing Specialist that they requested fire inspection and provided documentation of request. The Director informed the Licensing Specialist that the Fire Marshall would be out to the facility on 6/17/2025. CCF Handbook Section 3.8.2, A Fire Safety A.
