In VPK B classroom there was peeling paint and the drywall was exposed to the left of the dry eraser board. In the dream achievers classroom, there are screws exposed on the windowsill. IN the Wiz Kids classroom there is peeling paint and drywall exposed to the left of the bathroom door. On the playground the fence that connect the back playground to the side playground needs to be reattached. The area between the dumpster and the sidewalk needs to be filled in so the cement is not accessible to the children. When looking at the building from the playground, on the left side the drain needs to be covered or reattached. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) General Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there are currently 2 transportation vehicles utilized by the facility when transporting the children that are in care. 2019 Ford Transit (KKA49014) that was last inspected on 01/12/25 and 2019 Ford Transit (KKA99683) that was last inspected on 07/9/25. Both transportation vehicles are insured by ACE American Insurance Company with an effective date of 1/1/25. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the vehicle installed alarm was not in working condition in that it did not go off. The Operator was given until 11/23/2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, regarding the maintaining of the vehicle alarm. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4, F - F. By January 1, 2022 all vehicles used by childcare facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle. 1. Approved alarm systems must meet the following criteria: a. The alarm system must be armed or activated automatically when the vehicles ignition is turned on. b. The alarm system must be designed and installed so that the vehicle horn, siren or other type of audio alarm will sound if the driver/staff member does not walk to the rear or, in the case of a passenger van, the side entry point of the vehicle, to manually shut off or deactivate the alarm. c. The time delay from the time the ignition is turned off after activation of the alarm system until the alarm sounds shall be no longer than one minute. d. The alarm must be audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. e. The alarm system must be installed so that the driver must walk to the back of the vehicle to reach the deactivation mechanism. Deactivation mechanisms installed in locations that do not require the driver to walk to the back of the vehicle and view all seating areas will not be acceptable. 2. Alarms must be installed and maintained according to the manufacturers recommendations. 4.
