An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Comments: During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed water stains under the sink in classroom three. This was resolved at the time of inspection, under the sink was cleaned. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: "All childcare facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. Food was stored in an inappropriate area. CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.2 Comments: During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed Almond Milk being stored in the bathroom in room five. This was resolved during the time of inspection, the operator moved the milk. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: "Proper storage of food is essential to prevent food contamination, as well as insect and rodent infestation. Correct handling and storage of all food is a key component in preventing food-borne illnesses. To prevent bacteria growth, cold food must be kept at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit and hot foods at or above 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Facilities choosing to prepare food must have a designated space for food storage within the designated food preparation area or in a room not calculated as part of indoor floor space, and in an area not used for diapering. Off- site food storage is permissible only if the site of storage is a licensed childcare facility under the same ownership that includes a food preparation area that meets licensing standards. Compliance Comments During the inspection, the Operator advised that the facility is a food program participant, providing both the meals and snacks to the that are children in care. The Operator advised that the meals and snacks for the children that are in care are catered by G.A. Food Services of Pinellas County LLC., which is regulated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation on Division of Hotels and Restaurants #2025-N-2136933. The facility owner failed to notify the licensing authority within five working days of when the facility lost the credentialed director or when there was a change of director. CCF Handbook, Section 4.7, D. 1 and 2 Comments: The facility failed to report a change of Director within five working days to the Licensing Specialist. The change took place on August 5, 2025, however, the Licensing Specialist was not notified until October 13, 2025. This was resolved on October 13, 2025, by the facility providing documentation of the change of Director to the Licensing Specialist. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: F. Child care facility owners must notify the licensing authority within five working days of when the facility loses a credentialed director or when there is a change of director. 1. The licensing authority will then issue a provisional license for a period not to exceed six months for any facility without a credentialed director. 2. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed there to be a pungent smell coming from under the sink in room 3. The Licensing Specialist observed there to be water damage which has caused molding under the sink in room 3. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: per the CCF Handbook "A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. The facilitys outdoor play space was not enclosed with fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, F Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the fencing of the outdoor play area to not meet the minimum 4-foot height requirement. The Licensing Specialist measured three areas of the fencing with the height ranging from 3'7" to 3'9". During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: per the CCF Handbook "F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard.
