18. Bedding and Linens CCF Handbook, Section 3.6 (18-12)

Bedding and/or linens were not stored in a sanitary manner. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H Comments: 18-12: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the sheets were on the cots in Room 2. The cots were stacked on top of each other, allowing the sheets to touch each other. During the inspection, the sheets were removed from the cots. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. H. 40. Medication CCF Handbook, Section 6.5 (40-15)

Medication was not stored in either a locked area or inaccessible and out of a childs reach. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, G Comments: 40-15: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that there was diaper cream accessible to the children in care in Room 4s bathroom (Triple Paste, Desitin, Diaper Rash cream, and Earth Mama diaper balm) and Room 5s bathroom (Burts Bees baby diaper rash ointment). The diaper creams were moved and made inaccessible. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, G All medication must have child resistant caps, if applicable, and must either be stored in a locked area or must be out of any childs reach. If medication is stored in the food preparation area, it must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or medication. 33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 (33-01)

Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training requirement. CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Comments: During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 20 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 20 of the 20 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2025/2026 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2026. 33-01: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel did not complete the DCF 40 hours of introductory training within the proper time frame. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Child care personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004 are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. CCF Handbook, Section 6.4, C Comments: 39-5: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that some of the accident and incident reports were missing information, such as, childs last name, time of the incident, or treatment. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.4, C Documentation must include the name of the affected party, date and time of the occurrence, description of the occurrence, actions taken and by whom, and appropriate signatures of program child care personnel and the custodial parent or legal guardian. 23. Fire Drills & Emergency Preparedness CCF Handbook, Section 3.8 (23-02)

The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Comments: The last fire drill was conducted on 8/28/25 with the licensing specialist. There were 12 Adults and 22 children. The fire extinguisher certification(s) are valid until 5/2026. The annual fire inspection was conducted on 8/8/25 with violation. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the fire inspection that was conducted on 8/8/25 has some violations on it. The director was given until September 12 , 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. The licensing specialist gave extra time do to the fire marshal needs to come out and conduct his reinspection and he gave them until September 7, 2025 to bring the violations back into compliance. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook 3.8.2 Fire Safety Unless statutorily exempted, all childcare facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Comments: During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 20 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 20 of the 20 employee records. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing specialist observed one personnel did not finish her 40-hour training. The director was given until June 20, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. The license specialist gave the provider more time to complete this standard due to the personnel could not take the the exams until June 6, 2025 and needing extra time to receive the results. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing specialist seen one personnel did not finish her 40-hour training. CCF Handbook Section 4.1 Beginning Training Childcare personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the childcare industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the childcare industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the childcare industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the childcare industry in any licensed Florida childcare facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a department-approved training course, beginning a department-approved online childcare training course, or by receiving results from a department-approved competency examination.
