Toxic plants not permitted (3280.66(c))

There was a Pothos plant, a Dusty Miller plant, a Begonia, a Kalanchoe, and a Peace Lily in the facility, all listed as toxic to humans. Requirement: Toxic plants are not permitted in a child care space. Correction: Plants were removed from the facility. Inspection: Renewal. Infant: updated health report every 6 months (3280.131(b)(1))

The most recent health assessment on file for child #1 was dated 8/20/24. Child #1 is a young toddler (see code sheet for date of birth). Requirement: The operator shall require the parent to provide an updated health report at least every 6 months for an infant or young toddler. FIRE DETECTION/Staff responsibility (3280.95(a)/3280.95(b))

Alarm tests were recorded 12/10/24, 1/10/25 , 2/10/25, 3/10/25, and 4/10/25. There were 31 days between 12/10/24 and 1/10/25, 1/10/25 and 2/10/25, and 3/10/25 and 4/10/25. No alarms tests were recorded between 4/10/25 and the inspection on 5/22/25. Requirement: Fire detection devices or systems must be in compliance with standards established under section 1016(c) of the act (62 P.S. § 1016(c)). The primary staff person or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall ensure the requirements in subsection (a) are met.
