The current pediatric first aid and CPR training on file for Staff Person #3, dated 12.30.24, was not completed on or prior to the expiration of the prior training. The prior pediatric first aid and CPR training expired on 9.30.24. Requirement: Competence is the completion of training by a professional in the field of first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). All staff persons shall renew their certification in pediatric first aid and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on or before the expiration of the most current certification. Two packages of lens wipes, labeled Keep Out of Reach of Children, were observed in a low unlocked drawer in Classroom 4 (K Prep). The lens wipes could be accessible to children receiving care in the child care space. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be kept in an area or container that is locked or made inaccessible to children. Correction: I moved the lens wipes from the reach of children and notified all staff members to make sure anything that says keep out of reach of children is put in a spot that is locked or out of reach. The emergency contact form for Child #1 lacked the complete addresses for the release persons listed. Requirement: Emergency contact information must include the name, address and telephone number of the individual designated by the parent to whom the child may be released. The updates to the health reports on file for Child #2, a young toddler, exceeded 6 months between health reports dated 2.12.25 and 3.9.26. Requirement: The operator shall require the parent to provide an updated health report at least every 6 months for an infant or young toddler. Correction: Child #2 has a current health report on file at this time. I will make sure that there is updated physicals for each child every 6 months until every child has turned two. I will inform staff that hand sanitizer is to be out of reach of children. They will put the hand sanitizer out of reach of the tallest child in the room.
