    Evidence of violation: A child fell out of a highchair and went to see a doctor. Childcare provider didn't report the injury to Licensing Specialist with in the 24 hours times frame. Method of correction: To ensure timely and accurate reporting of serious injuries, consult with Child Care Aware to develop clear procedures and assign staff responsibilities regarding the reporting process. As part of this corrective action: A written procedure will be developed and implemented outlining the steps to take when a serious injury occurs, including who is responsible for reporting and documentation. Staff will be trained on the revised procedures to ensure full understanding and compliance. All serious injuries will be reported to the Child Care Licensing (CCL) system and emailed to the program s Licensing Specialist within 24 hours of the incident, as required by licensing regulations. A designated staff member will be assigned to monitor compliance and ensure timely submission of all reports. Documentation of the consultation with Child Care Aware and staff training will be kept on file and sent to licensing specialist for review. Time allowed for correction: 20 Day.
