The educator has a licensed assistant. There was another assistant in the program during the visit that was not licensed. The educator was working on helping the assistant to get licensed. All assistants need to be licensed before working in the program. Corrective action: Certified Assistant's License is now complete. Regulation: The licensee must ensure that the program is staffed by appropriate numbers of persons with experience and/or education in providing education and care to children from birth to age fourteen., The licensee must employ educators and volunteers who, by prior education, training, experience and interest in fostering development and early childhood education, are qualified to meet the needs of the children enrolled, and who meet the qualifications for their respective positions. Smoke detectors were tested and working on all floor levels during the time of the visit. The water temperature was 123 degrees. The water temperature needs to be 120 degrees or less. Corrective action: The plumber was here and lowered the water temp to 120 on 9/30/2024. Regulation: Outdoor Space. The licensee must maintain, or have access to, an outdoor play area of at least 75 square feet per child who is outside at any one time., Indoor Space. The indoor space must be clean, safely maintained, well-ventilated and well-lit, of sufficient size for the children served, and must encourage play and learning. Cited during: Monitoring Visit.
