The provider was given until July 8, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 4.1 Initial Screening Operators, household members (adults and children 12 to 17 years of age), substitutes, volunteers and Large Family Child Care Home employees must have a level 2 background screening clearance from the Department prior to obtaining a license, residing in the home, employment, or volunteering unsupervised with children. The employer/owner/operator must review each employment application to assess the relevancy of any issue uncovered by the complete background screening, including any arrest, pending criminal charge, or conviction, and must use this information in employment decisions in accordance with state laws. 08. The household member currently resides in the home on a bi-weekly basis. The provider was given until April 18, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Florida Statue 402.313(3) F.S. Family day care homes. (3) Child care personnel in family day care homes shall be subject to the applicable screening provisions contained in ss. 402.305(2) and 402.3055. For purposes of screening in family day care homes, the term includes any member over the age of 12 years of a family day care home operators family, or persons over the age of 12 years residing with the operator in the family day care home.
