Technical assistance was provided that All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, which includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.23 Health Requirements [SR] Comments: At the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist determined that the Operator and Substitute did not have exposure plan/bloodborne pathogen training on files. Technical assistance was provide that personnel are required to be educated on the homes exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter. Written documentation that child care personnel have participated in the homes annual refresher education for the exposure plan and understand the proper procedures in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids must be retained for 12 months and be available for licensing to review.This standard was brought back into compliance once completed and received on this date.This standard back into compliance. Daily attendance was not maintained to account for all children in care. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 8.4, A and B Children's Records [SR] Comments: At the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the sig-in/sign-out log for Feburary 2026 missing the times the children arrived at the home. The log only had the parent/guardians signature and not the actual time the children arrived. Technical assistance was provided the custodial parent or guardian may document the time when his/her child enters and departs the child care facility or program. However, child care facility personnel are responsible for ensuring that attendance records are complete and accurate. Child care personnel failed to possess a current attendance record and parent contact information during a fire drill, emergency preparedness drill or an actual emergency to account for all children. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.21, D and 7.22, C (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist and provider conducted a fire drill utilizing the homes smok detector the operator failed to possess current attendance record and emergency contacts for all children enrolled in the home during the time of the drill. The specialist advised the provider that during drills and actual emergencies the provider must possess attendance and emergency contacts. The provider and specialist conducted a second fire drill with the current attendance to account for all children in care as well as emergency contacts for all of the children at time of inspection. TA was provided to ensure that the provider conducts monthly fire drills and possess current attendance and emergency contacts at time of the drill or actual emergency. At the time of the inspection, Licensing counselor observed the providers last fire drill was conducted on _______9/2/2025______. The provider conducted a lockdown drill on ____6/2/2025_________ and a weather drill conducted on __/10/1/2024_______. The fire extinguishers were last tagged on May_ 2025. A fire drill was conducted today in the presence of a DCF Licensing counselor utilizing the homes smoke detector. 28.
