FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the large wooden play equipment that included a slide, swings, and climbing section, was easily swayed and pushed by one hand by licensing specialist. It needs to become more stabilized in structure and capable to withstand force from weight being applied to it. Several boards on the right hand side are missing bolts and nails to secure and attach plank boards to each other. To resolve the noncompliance the homeowner must reconcile the missing bolts and ensure the safety of the infrastructure. It is advised to discontinue use until completion of this is done. The screened in patio with play equipment is adequate to use during the time of completionl. Outdoor play areas were not in good repair. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.6, A Health Requirements [SR] Comments: At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist observed the homes outdoor stationary wooden play equipment with nails protruding on the left side facing on the rood of the playhouse, a wooden support slate near the stairs detached from the structure, also the metal stairs leading to the monkey swinging bars were observed with some start of rusting. The provider advised that she was aware of the play structure and she has it scheduled to be fixed by her husband soon. TA was provided to ensure that the play equipment is repaired by the due date. TS was provided to ensure that the operator keeps an eye on the state of the wood material on the outdoor equipment to ensure that the wood does not decay and splinter. The home does not have documentation for all child care personnel on the required annual refresher education of the homes exposure plan. The operator last completed the training 1/6/2024. The specialist explained that the training is annual and should be completed and documented on file for Licensing to review. TA was provided to ensure that the child care personnel complete the training course by the due date.
