FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.21, A Comments: At the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist determined that the Operator failed to conduct monthly fire drills utilizing the approved fire alarm system or smoke detector at various dates and times when children are in care for the months of September 2025 and November 2025. Technical assistance was provided to ensure that fire drills are conducted monthly utilizing approved fire alarm system or smoke detector at various dates and items when children are in care. Fire drills were conducted on 6/23/25, 7/25/25, 8/26/25, 10/27/25, 12/29/25, 1/2/26, 2/3/26, 3/16/26, and 4/8/26. • A fire drill was conducted today in the presence of the licensing authority using the approved smoke alarm that made an audible sound. • Emergency preparedness drills were conducted 6/3/25 (lock down), 1/5/26 (inclement weather), 2/6/26 (lock down), 3/9/26 (inclement weather), and 4/10/26 (lock down). • Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2026-04-17.
