The facilitys storage of harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, and poisonous, toxic and hazardous materials allowed access by children in care. CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection Licensing Specialist observed a hand sanitizer bottle on a shelve within the reach of children (Pictures were taken). Technical Assistance (TA) was given to the staff. Items were removed and placed away from the children at the time of inspection, placing this standard back in compliance. 14. Children were left in high chairs or other confining devices outside of feeding times. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.4, B General Requirements [SR] Comments: The Licensing Specialist (LS) observed an infant sleeping on a baby bouncy seat (Picture was taken). The LS provided technical assistance explaining that baby bouncy seat must only be used while the child is awake and not for napping purpose. 04. Supervision CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 (04-18)

An unscreened individual was left alone with children in care. s.435.06(2)(a), F.S. and CCF Handbook, Section 5.2, C General Requirements [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist observed an unscreened staff (named on the supplemental page) alone with 4 infants in the infant room. A screened staff came in to the room placing this standard back in compliance. (Licensing Specialist checked the Clearinghouse and it showed that "An Agency Review was required" a picture of the clearinghouse results was taken during the inspection. Technical assistance was provided to the director explaining that individuals subject to Level 2 screening must be cleared prior to licensure, registration, employment , volunteering or fulfilling any other role in a child care program. Staff with no background screening can never be alone with children. The employee left the facility during the inspection visit and won't be coming back until the background screening is clear. 18. Bedding and Linens CCF Handbook, Section 3.6 (18-12)

Bedding and/or linens were not stored in a sanitary manner. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist observed in the 2 & 3 year old room, that linens were left on the mats from the previous usage and then the mats were stacked one on top of the other (Picture was taken). The linens were touching. Technical assistance was provided by the licensing specialist to the staff and director to please come up with a different plan for linen storage, one in which they do not touch while being stored. Child/ren were placed in a crib, playpen, play yard or other sleeping and napping bedding with items that could pose a strangulation or suffocation risk. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.4, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: The LS observed infants sleeping in playpens with excess and loose fitting sheets, blankets & bib (Picture was taken). The staff removed the loose fitting sheets, blankets & bib; thus, it was completed at the time of the inspection. LS gave TA to the staff and director explaining that Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding or items that could pose a strangulation risk. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Reviewed annual fire inspection. The fire inspection expired on 1/3/2024. Licensing Specialist (LS) Provided Technical Assistance (TA) to the director: The annual fire inspection is valid for 1 year from the time of completion and must not expire. An updated fire inspection must be completed by the due date for the facility to be in compliance. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist. There were 6 adults and 18 children present. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 1/3/2024 and it is currently expired. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 9/2025. FOOD AND NUTRITION 24.
