Bedding and/or linens were not stored in a sanitary manner. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist observed in the 3-year old room, that linens were left on the cots from the previous usage and then the cots were stacked one on top of the other. The linens were touching. Technical assistance was provided by the licensing specialist to the staff and director to please come up with a different plan for linen storage, one in which they do not touch while being stored. Technical Assistance (TA) was given to the staff member and the Director. Spray was removed and placed up on a shelve away from children's reach, placing this standard back in compliance. The facilitys storage of harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, and poisonous, toxic and hazardous materials allowed access by children in care. CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a child's reach at all times. LS observed two to disinfectant sprays (pictures were taken) in the two year old class that could have been reached by children. This was corrected at the time of inspection by the staff. TA was provided to the staff and director to ensure that all harmful items are stored in a locked or inaccessible area to children at all times. 14. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. LS reviewed the annual fire inspection. The fire inspection expired on 11/20/2024. Licensing Specialist (LS) Provided Technical Assistance (TA) to the director explaining that the annual fire inspection is valid for 1 year from the time of completion and must not expire. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist. There were 8 adults and 40 children present. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 11/20/2024 it is currently expired. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 9/2025. FOOD AND NUTRITION 24.
