CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing specialist (LS)observed a bottle of hand soap labeled keep out of reach of children, withing the reach of children in the bathroom in room 4 (Pictures were taken). Technical Assistance (TA) was given to the director and staff by the Licensing specialist explaining that these items must always be inaccessible and out of a childs reach. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, B (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the fire extinguisher did not have a tag to show when they had been serviced. Technical advice was giving to the director explaining that he fire extinguishers must be serviced and retagged yearly. A fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist, During this inspection visit. There were 7 adults and 27 children present. The last lockdown drill having been conducted on 2/18/2026. The last inclement weather drill having been conducted on 3/18/2026. Documentation of Level 2 Clearinghouse screening clearance was missing for child care personnel. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4.1,C Record Keeping [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist observed that the documentation of background screening results for the staff member listed on the supplemental page was pending an agency review. Please ensure to complete all parts of screening requirement by the due date given. A copy of the eligible results, for the Level 2 screening, generated from the Clearinghouse must be on record for each personnel. Licensing Specialist notified the director that the staff member cannot be in contact with the children until the eligible results from the Clearinghouse are back. (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) General Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection visit, Licensing Specialist observed that in Classroom 4 there were 1:7 One and Two Year Olds, making this class out of ratio - this was corrected at time of inspection by placing a one year old child in Classroom 2 the other one year old class. Making the new ratio for this class 1:6 One and Two Year Olds. Licensing Specialist gave technical assistance to the director and staff explaining that in groups of mixed age ranges, where children one year of age but under two years of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than six children of any age group, at all times. This was corrected at time of inspection, placing this standard back in compliance. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. LS specialist observed linens stored in as unsanitary manner (Pictures were taken) LS gave TA to the director and staff explaining that linens must not touch in order to prevent the spread of germs or lice from other linens. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 12/9/2024. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 9/11/2023 it is currently expired. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 11/2025 .
