CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.2, B Food and Nutrition [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection the Licensing Specialist observed expired food in the kitchen cabinets. Pictures were taken. The provider discarded the expired food. Technical assistance was giving explaining that all expired food must be discarded. Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training requirement. CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Comments: LS observed that the individual listed on the supplemental page has not completed the Introduction Courses. The LS provided technical assistance (TA) to the director explaining that training must be completed within 12 months from the day employment begins in the child care industry. CCF Handbook, Section 3.10.2, E (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Sanitation and Equipment [SR] Comments: The diaper changing table in the three year old classroom had no mat (picture was taken). TA was provided to the staff and director explaining that the surface of the diaper changing area has to be impermeable. A mat was added to the changing table during this onsite inspection, thus this regulation is marked back into compliance. LS provided technical assistance to the director explaining that all pre-service training requirements must be completed by all program personnel, volunteers and substitutes, within 90 days of initial employment with any provider participating in the school readiness program. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, B Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist (LS) observed several A/C vents in all classrooms that had built up lint. This is a fire hazard. Pictures were taken. Please keep them clean. LS provided technical assistance to the director. The vents were clean during the inspection visit, placing this standard back in compliance. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 5/27/2025. The last lockdown drill was on conducted on 5/8/2025. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 4/2025. Reviewed annual fire inspection. The fire inspection expired on 5/16/2025. Licensing Specialist (LS) Provided Technical Assistance (TA) to the director: The annual fire inspection is valid for 1 year from the time of completion and must not expire.
