    Bedding and/or linens were not stored in a sanitary manner. CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that cots with the sheets and blankets on them were stacked with linens touching in a corner of Room 1B with the one year olds. The Licensing Specialist took pictures. The Licensing Specialist explained the handbook requirement that the once the linens on the cots can no longer be stacked to the staff and the staff corrected the cots immediately. The Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance form the handbook Section3.6.1. G. Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. 19.     All child care personnel who completed DCF training did not complete additional DEL-approved health and safety training by required date. (Section 3.2.A.1. and 3.2.C Training Requirements, Page 7) [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed seven staff member who had completed the DCF training did not complete additional DEL School Readiness trainings. The facility was given 14 days to complete the requirement per the School Readiness handbook. The Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance from the School Readiness handbook Section 3.2.Aa and 3.2.C 2. Licensed School Readiness providers and any other SR provider type may complete: Option 1 (DCF courses, plus corresponding exams) Existing courses available now under the Child Care Facility Part 1 heading for $10 per course: Health, Safety and Nutrition (8 hours) Child Growth and Development (6 hours) Behavioral Observation and Screening (6 hours) Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (4 hours) PLUS Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program (4 hours) Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program (5 hours) 3.2 C. C. As part of the required health and safety training, all School Readiness child care personnel must complete training in pediatric First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation by the timeframes established in section 3, Training Requirements, of this Handbook.
