    04. Supervision CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 (04-01)

Supervision of children in the [three-year-old] group was inadequate in that [a child was left alone in the classroom while the other children and the teacher went to the playground.]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 Comments: On February 26, 2025, an incident occurred according to video surveillance in which a child was left alone in the classroom for approximately 9 minutes. When leaving the classroom, the teacher only had 5 of the 6 children with her. The other child was in the bathroom at the time of departure from the classroom and therefore, left in the room alone. Technical assistance was provided to the director explaining that the teacher must have direct supervision of the children at all times and best practice is to count the children when they line up to go outside and come back in. 05.
