4.2.7 and 4.2.7(D), Handbook: Upon successful completion of the 40-hour introductory training requirements, child care personnel must complete a minimum of 10 clock-hours or one CEU of in-service training annually during the states fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Sec. 7-30(a)(1), Ordinance: All child care personnel permanently assigned to care for infants must complete four hours of annual in-service training specifically geared to infant care. Child care personnel, including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the required in-service training. Sec. 7-32, Ordinance: Before the first day of employment at a child care facility, all child care personnel, excluding temporary substitutes, must have on file at the child care facility a signed statement from a licensed physician or authorized agent of the Florida Department of Health attesting that the person is in good health in order to care for children in a child care facility setting. The health assessment statement shall be documented on a form prescribed by the local licensing agency and updated at least every two years. 6.2(C), Handbook: Each kit must be kept in a closed container and labeled First Aid and must, at a minimum, include: liquid Soap and/or hand sanitizer (to be used with supervision if hands are not visibly soiled and if no water is present); adhesive bandages; disposable, non-porous gloves; cotton balls or applicators; sterile gauze pads or rolls; adhesive tape; digital thermometer; tweezers; pre- moistened wipes; scissors; bottled water (for cleaning wounds or eyes); and current resource guide on first aid and CPR procedures..The facilitys supplies did not include [see below. ].
