12. Facility Environment CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 (12-01)

Areas of the facility were found to be in need of cleaning. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Comments: During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed the 2 stainless steel refrigerators in the kitchen has food buildup and dust on the doors and the bottom vents on both refrigerators. The Licesning Specialist also observed the ceiling vent in the Two's bathroom have dust around the vent. These items was corrected at the time of the inspection as the kitchen staff cleaned both refrigerators to be food and dust free and the Director cleaned the bathroom vent to free of dust. Per the DCF Handbook All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Comments: During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed the Three's classroom in the back of the building to have paint chipping on the blue wall. Per the DCF Handbook All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. Bottles and/or sippy cups brought from home were not labeled with childs first and last name. CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.5, B Comments: During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed 3 sippy cups in the One's Classroom not labeled with the children's first and last name. This was corrected during the time of the inspection as the teacher in the classroom labeled all three sippy cups with each child's first and last name. Per the DCF Handbook Bottles and sippy cups brought from home shall be individually labeled with the childs first and last name and shall be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian daily. 32. Outdoor Equipment CCF Handbook, Section 3.12 (32-07)

The ground cover or other protective surface under the [red double slides on the preschool playground] was not maintained. CCF Handbook, Section 3.12, D Comments: During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the mulch was less then 6 inches under the red double slides on the preschool playground. The mulch in the fall zone measured to be between 1 and 2 inches deep. Per the DCF Handbook Permanent or stationary playground equipment must have a fall/use zone that extends a minimum of 6 feet in all directions from the perimeter of the equipment. All types of ground cover must be maintained to provide resilience and reduce the incidence of injuries to children in the event of falls. 1. If the ground cover in place is loose ground cover (such as, but not limited to: mulch, shredded rubber chips, or sand) a minimum of 6 inches in depth is required in the use zone. The personnel/ volunteer (ten hours or more per month) record did not include a CF-FSP 5337 Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements form signed annually. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4, C Comments: During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed 1 staff member's file with an expired Abuse and Neglect Reporting Form. This was corrected at the time of the inspection as the staff member signed a Child Abuse and Reporting form dated 10/23/24. Per the DCF Handbook C. CF-FSP Form 5337, Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Requirements, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(l), F.A.C., must be signed on or before hire date and annually thereafter by all child care personnel.
