12. Facility Environment CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 (12-02)

An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed a patch of paint peeling on the left side of the bathroom wall in the schoolhouse 1 building. In the schoolhouse 1 building, the cabinets are peeling at the bottom on the left side. The exterior trim on the schoolhouse 1 building, on the left side, is deteriorating and is exposing screws. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Section 3.1, A All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. The label on the prescription medication did not have the required information in that it did not include [the script]. CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, C Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed a prescription medication (Triamcinolone) was not accompanied by the doctors script. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, C Prescription and non- prescription medication brought to the child care facility by the custodial parent or legal guardian must be in the original container. Prescription medication must have a label stating the name and contact information of the physician and/or pharmacy, childs name, name of the medication, and medication directions. All prescription and non-prescription medication must be dispensed according to written directions on the prescription label or printed manufacturers label and maintained at the appropriate temperature. Written directions on the prescription label, the manufacturers label or from the childs doctor for dispensing prescription or non- prescription medication were not followed in that [the medication should have only been used for 14 days and returned to the parent]. It was filled on 1/27/25. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6.5, C Prescription and non- prescription medication brought to the child care facility by the custodial parent or legal guardian must be in the original container. 33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 CCF Handbook, Section 4 (Form DEL-SR-6200A) (33-13)

Child care personnel did not complete preservice training requirements prior to unsupervised contact with or care of children or, if supervised, within 90 days of beginning employment or service with the provider. (Section 3.1 and 3.2 Training Requirements, Page 7) [SR] Comments: During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 25 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 25 of the 25 employee records. Counselor reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2024/2025 fiscal year. REMINDER: In-service training for 2025/2026 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2026. 33-13: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 5 child care personnel that did not complete the School Readiness Pre- Service training within 90 days in a School Readiness Program. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all preservice training requirements are not allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a School Readiness program.
