23. Fire Drills & Emergency Preparedness CCF Handbook, Section 3.8 (23-02)
The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Comments: During the time of the inspection, the licensing specialist observed the last fire drill was conducted on 9/24/25, and the fire extinguisher was last serviced on August 2025. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted in the presence of the Licensing Specialist. There was a total of 32 adults, 40 children at the time of the fire drill. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the annual fire inspection was last conducted on 9/5/24. This standard was brought back into compliance during the time of the inspection when an approved annual fire inspection was conducted. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, A Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. The personnel/ volunteer (ten hours or more per month) record did not include a CF-FSP 5337 Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements form signed annually. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4, C Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there are currently 36 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 36 of the 36 employees records. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed 22 personnel records did not include a CF-FSP 5337 Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements form signed annually. The provider has been given until 10/29/2025 to bring this standard back into compliance. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4, C Records must be maintained and kept current on all child care personnel, as defined by Section 402.302 (3), F.S. These records shall be on-site, available for review by the licensing authority and must include: CF-FSP Form 5337, Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Requirements, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(l), F.A.C., must be signed on or before hire date and annually thereafter by all child care personnel.
