The staff in charge did not have the required operable smoke detector or back up battery. This provider has an exemption and the exemption states that the provider is required to have an operable smoke detector and a backup battery. The facility did not have documentation to show child care personnel had begun the introductory training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry.
