CCF Handbook, Section 3.12, D Comments: At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist observed the resilient surface of mulch near the stationary equipment on the older childrens playground that did not measure to 6 inches in depth within the 6 feet perimeter. The stationary swing set connected to the wooden play equipment the mulch measured to 5 inches in depth. The red metal bus the mulch measured to also 5 inches in depth. The specialist encouraged the provider to rake the mulch from other areas of the playground to add an inch to each area. The provider has more than enough mulch and needs to ensure that it is maintained to meet required 6 inches in depth and 6 feet in perimeter. The provider immediately added additional bags of mulch to the desired areas at time of inspection. TA was provided to ensure that the stationary outdoor equipment has a resilient surface measuring to 6 inches in depth and 6 feet in perimeter.
