All rooms did not have sufficient lighting equivalent to 20 foot candles at three feet from the floor. CCF Handbook, Section 3.3.1, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: At the time of the inspection, the specialist observed that in the two and three year old room the FC over work stations were below the 55 FC minimum; one table was moved, while TA was given to possibly add a standing lamp for the area (31.7, 12.7). Also in the VPK a class room (25.6, 16.9) TA was given to add a standing lamp as well. They have until the due date to add the new lighting or move the tables around. This would be an issue due to the fact that this is the infant room where children are still crawling on their hands; and exploration is heavily oral incorporated. The facility's first aid kit was missing the following items: [ Soap and hand sanitizer, Tweezers, Scissors]. CCF Handbook, Section 6.2, C Health Requirements [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the van that are used to transport children (2) one in the morning and the afternoon were missing items from the first aid kit. The First aid kit for am van didnt have tweezers or scissors and the PM van it didnt have soap or hand sanitizer. The licensing specialist asked the employee that was demonstrating the van alarms if there were any of those items on the van to complete the kit, she stated no and that she used the van earlier this morning per signed transportation logs. Areas of the facility were found to be in need of cleaning. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: At the time of the inspection the diapering changing table in 2s classroom was in need of cleaning/sanitizing. Along the siding of the impermeable mat, there was sand, dirt, and particles that were caked along the side. The provider was advised to ensure the mat was cleaned to maintained. During the walkthrough, the rug in the 2-year-old classroom in the creative art center needs cleaning. It is riddled with stains and high traffic marks; due to the age range of the children in that classroom, the carpet is need of cleaning or removal. The air ducts on the left side of the building starting from the kitchen and the 2-year-old classroom and 3-year-old windowsill/blinds have dust that is visible. The closet that the air filter is housed, along the door frame holds a thick, fluffy dust accumulation. These areas of the facility were in need of cleaning to maintain compliance of this standard.
