04. Supervision CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 (04-04)
Children in the outdoor play area were not adequately supervised in that [a 1 year olds was left on playground as class was inside. ]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.1, A Comments: On 10/31/24, Administrative staff self-reported that a 1-year-old child was left on playground by 2 caregivers. Child was on playground until noticed by another staff member in an adjoining playground. Child was not hurt and parents notified of incident. All staff were retrained on name to face tracking during all transitions. A new policy has been enacted and signed off by all current staff to ensure this does not happen again. 2.4 Supervision page 12 2.4.1 General Supervision Requirements A. Child care personnel must position themselves in the outdoor play area so that all children can be observed and directly supervised. B. Child care personnel must be assigned to provide direct supervision to a specific group of children and be with that group of children at all times. Children must never be left without child care personnel supervision inside or outside the facility, in a vehicle, or at a field trip location. 05.
