CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: 18:12: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the bedding in the VPK classroom was not stored in a sanitary manner, in that the napping cots has the sheets and blankets on them and they were all leaning against each other, allowing the bedding to touch other childrens bedding. During the inspection, the napping cots were separated. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.6.1, G & H Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.2, B (Section 2.1 - Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 3/11/2026. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 2/3/2026. The fire extinguisher certificates in the facility are valid until 2/2027. 23-5: The fire extinguisher certification in the transportation vehicle in site was tagged in 2/2025. The teacher did not wash her hands after the diaper change before assisting another child. During the inspection, the teacher washed their hands after it was addressed by Licensing Specialist. CCF Handbook, Section 6 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Health Requirements [SR] Comments: 35-12: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that there were 8 employees that did not have documentation that the exposure plan was reviewed annually. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. Personnel are required to be educated on the facilitys exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter. Written documentation that child care personnel have participated in the facilitys annual refresher education for the exposure plan and understand the proper procedures in the event there is exposure to blood, and potentially infectious fluids must be retained for 12 months and be available for licensing to review (CCF Handbook, p. 53). 36.
