33. Training Requirements CCF Handbook, Section 4 (33-03)

The facility did not have documentation to show child care personnel had begun the introductory training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 Comments: 33-3: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel that did not start the DCF 40 hours of introductory training within 90 days of the child care industry start date. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 4.1Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month did not complete the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training requirement. CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Comments: During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 15 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 15 of the 15 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2025/2026 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2026. 33-01: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the child care personnel did not complete DCF 40 hours of introductory training within 12 months of starting the DCF 40 hours of introductory training. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Child care personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004 are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. The personnel/ volunteer (ten hours or more per month) record did not include a CF-FSP 5337 Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements form signed annually. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4, C Comments: During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 13 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 13 of the 13 employee records. 44-4: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 5 employees did not sign the child abuse and neglect form annually. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Records must be maintained and kept current on all child care personnel, as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S. These records shall be on-site, available for review by the licensing authority and must include: C. 43. Enrollment Information CCF Handbook, Section 7.3 & s. 402.3054(2), F.S. (43-10)

The facility did not maintain documentation that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of each child were provided information regarding the potential for distracted adults to fail to drop off a child and leave them in the car annually during the months of April and September in that [the brochure was not provided in April 2025]. CCF Handbook, Section 7.3, C.5. Comments: During the time of the inspection, the Owner/Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there are currently 133 children enrolled. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 61 of the 133 childrens records (Letters A through J and newly enrolled childrens files since the last inspection). Licensing Specialist monitored the April 2025 Distracted Driver Brochures. REMINDER: Influenza brochures must be provided annually between August 1st and September 30th for each enrolled child. Distracted Adult brochures must be provided semi-annually in the months of April and September for each enrolled child. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the provider did not provide the distracted driver brochure to all the parents in the month of April 2025. During the inspection, the provider emailed it to the parents. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, "CCF Handbook, Section 7.3, C.5.There shall be signed statements from the custodial parents or legal guardian that the child care facility has provided them with the following information: Annually, in the months of April and September, the child care facility must provide parents/guardians of the children enrolled in the facility with information regarding the potential for distracted adults to fail to drop off a child at the facility and instead leave them in the adults vehicle upon arrival at the adults destination.CF/PI 175- 12, brochure, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(x), F.A.C. and may be obtained from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com . Compliance Comments During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 16 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 16 of the 16 employee records. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist updated the People Section in CARES.
