The facility is licensed to serve [24] children. A total of [26] children were counted at the center and/or were on a field trip. CCF Handbook , Section 3.4.1, C Comments: LS counted 26 children in the classroom in which a total of 24 children is allowed to be in capacity. LS provided technical assistance from the handbook: 3.4 Licensed Capacity 3.4.1 Licensed Capacity A. The capacity, as calculated by the licensing authority for each room, must be posted in a conspicuous location within the room. B. The licensed capacity of a child care provider is determined by the following factors: 1. Indoor floor space 2. Outdoor square footage 3. Sewer/septic capacity (as determined by Environmental Health) 4. Number of toilets/wash basins C. Licensed capacity is determined by the most restrictive of these factors. D. The total number of children in care on-site and on field trips may never exceed the facilitys licensed capacity.
