   The facility did not have documentation to show completion of a Department approved five-hour early literacy and language development course for child care personnel within 12 months of date of employment in child care industry and/or the early literacy course documentation was not uploaded in the Florida Pathways/Registry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.2.2 and 4.5, C (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: Licensing Specialist observed one staff member that was present in the child care industry since 4/15/2021 that did not complete the early literacy until the day of the inspection. Licensing Specialist gave technical assistance during inspection from the Child Care Facility Handbook: 4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all child care personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the child care industry. Proof of completion may be documented on a certificate of course completion, classroom transcript, or diploma. 4.5 Documentation of Training The Departments training transcript is the only acceptable verification of successful completion of the Departments training, early literacy courses and school-age training documentation. C. Early literacy courses and school-age training documentation must be uploaded into the Florida Pathways (Registry), which may be accessed from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare. Corrective Action: The one staff member completed the early literacy course during inspection. Therefore, the standard was completed at time of inspection.    Personnel records or copies of records were not being maintained at the facility and available for review by the licensing authority. CCF Handbook, Section 7.4 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Record Keeping [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist observed 10 personnel records during inspection. There are only 9 personnel records as of 6/18/2026. Licensing Specialist was given 10 active personnel records during inspection to review by provider. During the inspection, the provider did not state at any time that one of the staff members were terminated the day before the inspection on 6/16/2026. Licensing Specialist could not observe documents to be present in the personnel record during inspection. Licensing Specialist gave provider the chance to provide the missing personnel documents via e-mail by the morning of 6/18/2026. The provider sent Licensing Specialist an e-mail on 6/18/2026 of the employee roster and stated that the one staff member was terminated the day before the inspection (6/16/2026). Licensing Specialist was present on 6/17/2026 from 11:04 AM to 5:52 PM. The documents that Licensing Specialist requested should have been in the file on or before the date of hire. Licensing Specialist gave technical assistance from the Child Care Facility Handbook: 7.4 Personnel Records Records must be maintained and kept current on all child care personnel, as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S. These records shall be on-site, available for review by the licensing authority Corrective Action: Provider submitted a statement via e-mail on 6/18/2026 stating that the one personnel was no longer employed as of 6/16/2026. Therefore the standard was completed at time of inspection. Compliance Comments Licensing Specialist gave technical assistance regarding employee roster requirements during inspection. 45.
