   A ratio of [1] child care personnel for [6] children is required. A ratio of [1] child care personnel for [ 7-1 yr. olds] children was observed. s.402.305(4), F.S. General Requirements [SR] Comments: In addition, Licensing Specialist observed the VPK classroom with 22 children and 1 childcare personnel. Licensing Specialist observed the following ratios: Class 1: 22-4 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel Class 2: 10-3 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel Class 3: 11-2 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel Class 4: 7-1 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel Class 5: 4 children-mixed ages: 2-1 yr. olds and 2 infants with 1 childcare personnel Class 6: 17 children-mixed ages: 6-3 yr. olds and 11-2 yr. olds with 2 childcare personnel Class 7: 9-1 yr. olds and 2 childcare personnel Class 8: 11-3 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel Class 9: 3-3 yr. olds and 1 childcare personnel 1 additional staff were available during the inspection. Facility was non-compliance with standards. 2.3 Ratios The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care. 2.3.1 Mixed Age Groups A. In groups of mixed age ranges, where children under one year of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than four children of any age group, at all times. B. In groups of mixed age ranges, where children one year of age but under two years of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than six children of any age group, at all times. This was resolved when the front desk personnel asked the teachers to clock in as they were arriving. Children were also moved out of the room and taken to another room, keeping staff in ratio.    04. Supervision CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 (04-01)

   Supervision of children in the [3 yr. old] group was inadequate in that [childcare personnel left a child behind in a classroom unattended.]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 General Requirements [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist interviewed staff. During the interview, it was stated that G.P., was terminated from employment for failing to conduct a face to name and cell phone usage. G.P. had 15 children present but thought she had 16. A second teacher found the child by himself. An iPad glitch had checked the child in 2x. Child was moved to classroom # 1C, with teacher C.S. Teachers however are given a paper copy as well of the attendance roster. This was resolved when the child was placed in another classroom. 2.4 Supervision2.4.1 General Supervision Requirements A. Personnel must position themselves in the outdoor play area so that all children can be observed and directly supervised. B. Child care personnel must be assigned to provide direct supervision to a specific group of children and be with that group of children at all times.
