An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Upon arrival for the renewal inspection the air conditioner in part of the facility was not working. Provider stated that she had called the landlord on Monday afternoon when the air went out and Tuesday, but the landlord did not respond. The provider took it upon herself to call an air conditioning repair company to come out and look at it. While licensing specialist was there the repairman came out and stated that the three air conditioners were more than 20 years old and would not be able to be fixed because they don't make the parts for those anymore. Provider is paying out of her pocket to have the air conditioners replaced. Provider decided to close the facility for at least Wednesday since the air conditioner repair man stated he could have them all installed by Wednesday late afternoon. Provider will close again on Thursday if needed. Provider called all parents to come and get the children since it was so hot in 3 units. The fourth unit the air conditioning does work and that room has the capacity of 22 they will open that unit only on Wednesday and have ages four to school age. Corrective Action: replace the air conditioners Technical Assistance given from the handbook: 3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A.
