17. Outdoor Play Area/Fencing CCF Handbook, Section 3.5 (17-01)
The facilitys outdoor play area contained litter, nails, glass or other hazards that posed a low potential for harm to children. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: Licensing Specialist observed the outside playground in need of attention and repair. Licensing Specialist observed peeled paint on the swing set that is accessible to children when in use. Licensing Specialist observed tree roots exposed causing concrete areas to be unleveled and trip hazards. Licensing Specialist observed barrier tubing barrier to prevent mulch area from being washed away from rain, exposed and need of repair. Technical assistance provided from the CCF Handbook: 3.5 Outdoor Play Area A. The outdoor play area must be clean and free from litter, nails, glass and other hazards. Corrective Action: Provider is to have swing set painted. Provider is to have concrete walk areas leveled on playground from tree roots being exposed.
